Engine Overview
The CT7-8 is a family of powerful engines in the 2,500 to 3,000 shp class designed to meet the demanding mission needs of modern medium lift helicopters throughout the world.
Certified by the FAA in April 2004, the CT7-8 combines advanced, state-of-the-art technology with proven T700 design architecture for maximum mission performance.
These powerful engines feature Full Authority Digital Electrical Control (FADEC) for better cockpit information and reduced pilot workload, plus advanced, commercially-proven components for added durability.
Its modular design -- which retains the same installation envelope of earlier CT7/T700 models -- combines with superior erosion/corrosion resistance features to help ensure easy maintenance and lower life cycle costs.
Recognized for the highest reliability of any engines in its class, CT7-8 has a defined growth plan in place to meet future mission demands.
