Sarah Hedger is general manager of Business Development for GE Aviation.

Ms. Hedger joined GE in early 2005 past part of Corporate's European business development team and has principally worked for GE's capital businesses in Europe.

Prior to joining GE, Ms. Hedger worked as an auditor for Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers) where she qualified as a chartered accountant. In 1993, she joined Lazard, an investment bank, where she specialized in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions across many sectors.

At GE, Ms. Hedger was responsible for several significant transactions for GE Money, such as the acquisition of 3 Romanian consumer finance businesses in Romania, BTB Bank in Latvia and the pending acquisition of BPH Bank in Poland. Outside the capital businesses, transactions include the acquisition of Radstone Technologies plc (a UK listed company) for GE Fanuc and the sale of a German lighting business for Consumer & Industrial.

Hedger attended Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine (University of London) and graduated with a masters degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Business Studies in 1988.
