Bill Fitzgerald is vice president and general manager, global operations of engine services, at GE Aviation.
Mr. Fitzgerald began his career at GE Aviation in 1983 as a member of the Manufacturing Development Program. He held several technical and operational leadership positions within supply chain in Lynn, MA, through 1997. Mr. Fitzgerald joined engine services in 1998 as the Cincinnati component repair leader, and he assumed the position of managing director for the European Engines Services operation in Cardiff, Wales, in January 2000.
In February 2001, Mr. Fitzgerald was named general manager, global supply chain at GE Transportation Systems in Erie, PA. He moved into his current position in October 2003.
Mr. Fitzgerald holds a Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master's degree in manufacturing engineering from Boston University. He is a graduate of GE's Advanced Manufacturing course.
