Scott Ernest is vice president and general manager, Supply Chain, for GE Aviation.

He was named to his current position in October 2003. Previously, Mr. Ernest was vice president and general manager of global operation for engine services, having been appointed to that position in 2001.

Mr. Ernest has held a number of leadership positions at GE Aviation. He was promoted to manager for the Singapore service facility in 1993 and was named manager of the Strother, Kansas, facility in 1995. Mr. Ernest accepted the position of general manager, sourcing in 1998.

Prior to joining GE Aviation in 1984, he was a member of GE's Manufacturing Leadership Program in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Mr. Ernest earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Akron and a master's degree in engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
